GrowthRoute’s new site and blog launched today

At last, my new site and blog are up! It has taken over a year to conceive and create, essentially because I was also busy helping other entrepreneurs the whole time and wanted to code that site myself.

Hopefully proving that a business guy with no technical degree (and worse actually: an MBA) can code, I built it using handcoded HTML, lots of PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, Jquery, WordPress and about 45 WordPress plugins. Over-engineered, it probably is, but it was fun and I learned tons.

The result: GrowthRoute, at www.growthroute.com, presents the company’s experience and offering. GrowthTimes, at www.growthtimes.com, is my blog, continuing to cover business topics of interest to entrepreneurs, product developers and managers, and investors.

Both are thoroughly integrated and include a number of innovations, several of which I will present in a follow-up post. But for now, please try it out and send me some feedback.

To Revenue becomes GrowthTimes

To Revenue has a new address! I have decided to rename To Revenue into Growth Times, to better convey this blog’s core concept: assisting growth companies in their journey towards explosive growth. Additionally, most of my clients have already achieved revenues, so To Revenue was a bit of misnomer.

A little more profoundly perhaps, in this time of recession, I also want it to express my belief that the ultimate antidote to all crisis is human creativity and  innovation, targeted towards solving real problems and driven by a sense of financial, social and environmental purpose.

And lastly, it’s a better-sounding and more attractive domain name. Let’s not underestimate the power of packaging and marketing!

Launched the GrowthRoute Ventures website

I haven’t blogged in a short while as I was busy building the site of my consulting shop, renamed GrowthRoute Ventures. The url is www.growthroute.com, please visit and comment here.

With this, I am now offering innovative services targeting growth companies from early-stage start-ups to funded ventures to innovation teams in larger groups. The driving force is to turn those organizations into category leaders by “reverse-engineering revenues”, as I like to think it.

The focus is on the endgoal, be it an independent play, an acquisition, or an IPO (a remote objective in the current economic conditions…), and we work on all its drivers, through strategic planning, product management, marketing and sales channel development. In Ontario where I am based, we nicely take it where government-backed advisors like Communitech and MaRS leave it; and we also cross borders, with clients in the US and Europe.
